Capture the Colour Contest 2013

Capture the Colour Contest 2013

In the spirit of good ol’ last minute fashion and one more nomination, we are finally entering the contest, Capture the Colour for 2013. We have been nominated by some travel and photography blogs that we love and for this we are grateful. We kept meaning to enter the contest earlier, but it just didn’t happen. With the Capture the Colour contest ending tomorrow and receiving our last nomination on Monday, we thought it was high time we entered.

Thank you to Life Outside of Texas, KarisAbroad, SKJ Travel, and Divergent Travelers for your nominations. Be sure to head over to their sites to see their Capture the Colour contest entries.

The Lowdown

The Capture the Colour contest was started last year by Travel SuperMarket . It was so successful that they decided to run it for 2013, as well. The object is to enter 5 photographs, one into each category to capture the colors of Blue, Green, Red, White, and Yellow. Each color will be judged individually and the category winners will get their choice between a 128GB iPad with Retina Display, a Fujifilm digital camera with lens, or £750 to spend with Arc’teryx. And the overall winner receives a £3,000 travel fund! Now those are some great prizes!

Our Nominations

Part of the contest is to nominate 5 other bloggers to participate. Our nominees are:

The Legendary Adventures of Anna

Mapping Megan

Wander the Map

Treepot Travels

*Note you do not have to be nominated to participate. There is still time to enter! You can find all of the details on the Capture the Colour contest page.

And now for our contest submissions! Drum roll, please!

    • Thanks, Jessica! The last one is actually taken at sunrise. I know I should have included descriptions with the pictures, but it was late and I needed to get to sleep.

    • Hello, welcome, and thank you! It was shot in the Columbia Gorge in Oregon.
