Stumbling Over You Week 2

Last week, we started AfterGlobe’s Stumbling Over You series. Since we’d recently started a Stumbleupon account and we’re looking for some great travel articles to stumble over, we thought this would be a great way to get it started. This week we bring you a second chance to submit your article. Plus, our first picks for our top five selections.

Each week we feature different travel articles brought to us by you. Want to know how? If you are a blogger, writer, or reader of travel articles you will have the opportunity to submit your favorite article of that week to us. This article can be from any site you want, as long as the article focuses on travel. That means you can submit a post from your own site or an article from another’s site.

Once submitted, we will go through each article to pick our top 5 articles for next week’s post.  All articles will be commented on by us, tweeted on Twitter, stumbled through Stumbleupon, and posted on our Facebook page. Our picks for top 5 articles of the week will be featured on next week’s Stumbling Over You post.

In order to do this, we do have a few guidelines. Like mentioned above, your submitted post must be travel related. Each person can only submit one post per week. You have until midnight PST on Thursday to post the link to your article. Comment below with a link to your submission of the week.  Articles will only be accepted posted below. In other words, no articles may be submitted anywhere else. Any articles submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Each week we will promote your articles through our Twitter, Stumbleupon and Facebook accounts. Make sure to follow us on Twitter, subscribe to our stumble on Stumbleupon and “like” us on Facebook in order to see your submission shared with others and re-share them. Then come back next week to see who are AfterGlobe’s top 5 Stumbling Over You posts.

What article will you be submitting this week?

  1. This is a different type of travel story: I interviewed a film director who came to Greece to escape some really personal tragedies and his experience there affected him so much, he’s now back in Greece directing a film about it.

It it’s not ‘travelly’ enough, do let me know and I can send you another one – but thought this was a bit different.

  2. Hullo,

Here is a recent post I wrote on air travel etiquette entitled “Please Hold the Onions”:

As the title suggests, this piece highlights the negative impact that results when passengers bring their pungent smelling foods on board a plane. Told in a humorous first-person account, “Please Hold the Onions” reminds travelers that the world beyond their door is an ever-changing landscape of personal and public space.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  3. Thank you everyone for the submissions! I’m happy to see them all coming in. Welcome to those who are posting for the first time.
