The Inn at Mama’s Fish House

The Inn at Mama’s Fish House

Did you know that Mama’s Fish House is not only a restaurant, but also an inn? The Inn at Mama’s Fish House may be the best kept accommodations secret on Maui. Located just steps from the ocean of Maui’s North Shore on a white sand beach, the Inn at Mama’s Fish House provides the same warmth and hospitality as their award-winning restaurant. After our first visit to Mama’s Fish House, we knew our next trip to Maui would include not only another visit to their restaurant, but also a stay at the Inn at Mama’s Fish House.

Amenities at the Inn at Mama’s Fish House

Upon entering your cottage, you will be greeted with beautiful tropical flower arrangements and a welcome basket with fresh fruit, Mama’s banana bread, and a bag of their signature coffee. As you wonder through you will find more tropical flowers tucked in the towels and Hawaiian soaps in both the kitchenette and bathroom.  The beds are big, comfy, and inviting not only to sleep, but also for an afternoon rest. The luxury cottages are decorated in a retro Old Hawaiian style that instantly makes you feel right at home.

Walk to Kuau Cove

A short walk through a gate will take you to Mama’s Fish House and the beach. The beach can get busy at times with those visiting the restaurant, but you will have Kuau Cove in its entirety each morning and early afternoon when the property is calm and peaceful. It’s also a perfect place to sit and watch the sunset each night. When you get back to your cottage, you will find geckos warming themselves under your porch light.

Discount at Mama’s Fish House

You’ll want to make sure to eat at Mama’s Fish House more than once during your stay since you will receive a discount for staying at their inn. We made sure to take full advantage of this fabulous perk and ate at Mama’s 3 times during our stay. Everyone at the inn and restaurant fully knew who we were by the end of our stay.

  1. We heard so many people say good things about Mama’s Fish House but we never had an opportunity to go — we’re looking forward to going next time we’re in Maui, whenever that may be O:-) Maybe we’ll even stay there — who knew?!

  2. Wow! I would love to stay here one day. I like how the cabins have BBQ’s. And, that’s awesome they give you a discount on the restaurant for staying there–the restaurant looks so delicious.
